From Research to Pitch: Three Minutes to Make It Count

Olá a todos! 👋

Na próxima sessão do CSI Caffè ☕ (30/06) vamos dar palco aos alunos que estão na reta final das suas dissertações de mestrado e estágios de licenciatura.🎓✨

A ideia é simples: queremos perceber melhor em que é que os nossos estudantes estiveram a trabalhar durante o semestre, que problemas tentaram resolver e que soluções, resultados ou aprendizagens desenvolveram pelo caminho.

Cada participante terá cerca de 3 minutos (máximo 5 minutos, para os que não se conseguem calar...) para apresentar o seu trabalho em formato de mini pitch, com ou sem PowerPoint, em português ou inglês, conforme se sentir mais confortável. 

O objetivo é responder, de forma simples e direta, a três perguntas:

• Que problema querias resolver?
• O que fizeste durante o semestre?
• O que aprendeste / que resultados conseguiste alcançar?

Não é preciso uma apresentação perfeita nem um pitch digno de Shark Tank. 😄

Queremos um momento informal, descontraído e útil para dar visibilidade ao trabalho dos estudantes, criar ligações com o centro e celebrar o esforço de quem está quase a fechar esta etapa. 💪

Convidamos também todos os orientadores a incentivarem os seus alunos a participar, já que esta é uma ótima oportunidade para partilhar o trabalho desenvolvido, receber feedback e mostrar à comunidade SYSTEM o talento que cá temos. 🤝

Hello everyone! 👋

At the next CSI Caffè ☕ (30/06), we’ll be giving the floor to students who are in the final stages of their master’s theses and bachelor internships.🎓

The idea is simple: we want to gain a better understanding of what our students have been working on during the semester, what problems they’ve tried to solve, and what solutions, results or lessons they’ve developed along the way.

Each participant will have around 3 minutes (maximum 5 minutes, for those who can’t stop talking…) to present their work in the form of a mini-pitch, with or without PowerPoint, in Portuguese or English, whichever they feel most comfortable with.

The aim is to answer, simply and directly, to three questions:

• What problem did you want to solve?
• What did you do during the semester?

• What did you learn / what results did you achieve?

  
   

You don’t need a perfect presentation or a pitch worthy of Shark Tank. 😄

We want an informal, relaxed and useful session to showcase students’ work, build connections with the centre and celebrate the efforts of those who are about to complete this stage. 💪

We also invite all supervisors to encourage their students to take part, as this is a great opportunity to share the work they’ve done, receive feedback and showcase the talent we have here to the SYSTEM community. 🤝

We’re counting on you for an afternoon of great ideas, quick pitches and plenty of coffee! ☕🎓
