More Than a Mobility: Building Impact, Connections, and a ‘Way of Being’ in Sweden

This informal session shares a five-month journey at Chalmers University of Technology, reflecting both a professional and personal experience of mobility. From the initial plan to the outcomes achieved, the talk explores the development of collaborative work, engagement with new teams, and the role of international environments in shaping research and innovation practices. Particular attention is given to how building networks, fostering collaboration, and aligning with different working cultures contributed to both present results and future opportunities—echoing the idea that impact is created through people and shared experiences.

Beyond the professional dimension, the session also highlights the personal side of the journey: first-time experiences, cultural discoveries, meaningful encounters, and the exploration of new places. From everyday moments like “fika” to creating communities and shared activities, these experiences reveal how mobility is not only about work, but also about growth, perspective, and connection.
